Learning how to do a better interview. We would love to have a few people in each group who have some experience with interviewing, talk for a couple of minutes each about what they know on the subject. Then to have a discussion sharing stories and personal experiences from conducting an interview yourself or being interviewed. What worked and what did not work? All of this should be recorded on audio for sharing with the other local groups and hopefully someone can take notes as well so we can get this out quickly across the different cities.

(a) At the end of the evening, we should put this into practice with everyone doing two separate five minute interviews (plan on about 30-35 minutes for this activity. While the focus of the interview can be anything that is relevant at that time, I think it would be best if we could do this as a 'profile' sort of interview - a getting to know you sort of thing. The format for distribution would ideally be audio or video, but if you don't like that style or don't have the equipment, you can just as easily do the interview for a blog post. The five minute time line will make the media short - but that is really the point.

(b) Afterwards, it would be great for a group conversation to wrap up how the experience of interviewing and being interviewed matched the interview techniques and skills that was discussed earlier in the evening. What worked, what didn't and what new things were learned.
